Or head North East 40 miles to Ponca State Park along Missouri River bluffs gateway to the 59-mile section of the Missouri National Recreational River, one of two unchannelized stretches of the river bordering Nebraska.

Go west 1 hour to Ashfall Fossil State Historical Park & see the Dinosaur Fossils.

For fun South West go 20 miles to Willow Creek Reservoir State Rec Area for some boating and swimming.

If  a day at the wave pool or going down water slides is for you go South to Norfolk's new waterpark Aquaventure. Then enjoy the mall or many shopping, food and entertainment establishments.

Or head East 1 hour to Sioux City, Iowa for a  day of shopping, museums and fun.
